Meet Our Team
Dr. Renee Himmelbaum, DO, FAAP is a wife and mother of two young adult daughters. She grew up in Gwinnett attending Berkmar and Meadowcreek High School, Georgia Tech, Georgia Campus Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University for Pediatric Residency. She is a board certified Pediatrician.
Well Child Checkups: If your child is 24 mo. or younger, they are most likely on a checkup schedule. After 3 years of age your child should have a yearly checkup. Well child checkups focus on health and developmental issues. These checkups are also our best opportunity to vaccinate your child against common childhood diseases. If you would like to schedule a checkup, you can request an appointment time online or call our office.
Sick Appointments: We provide ample slots in the schedule to accommodate sick visits—usually a same day appointment.
Immunizations: The last 20 years have seen many of the childhood illnesses diminish in this country. We owe it to the development and expansion of a strong childhood immunization program through such entities as the American Academy of Pediatrics, and adhere to the State of Georgia school system recommended schedule, to keep our patients safe.
Teens: We have teenagers in our family and are very interested and experienced with this age group. Our decor is not juvenile, so teens and young adults feel comfortable. We have a separate examining room that is designed to appeal to their interests. We offer teen annual checkups, sports physicals, adolescent gynecology, skin treatment, adolescent development, adolescent immunizations and other teen and young adult concerns.
Sports Physicals: Sports forms are processed FREE if your child has had a checkup within the year. Most schools require some sort of physician’s certification in order for your child to participate in a school sponsored athletic program. Your child’s sport physical will be conducted quickly and efficiently in an environment which is suitable to his or her needs. Have your sports form ready during your annual well-check to save time and effort.
Forms: We will provide you with forms for your child to enter school upon request. All immunization and Hearing and Vision forms needed for school are completed FREE for regular SP patients. We will put the forms on your portal to save you a trip to our office.
